Why do I see double charges on my card?
Rest assured, our system does not allow us to charge twice for the same order on any credit cards. Your credit card statement may show two charges but one is an authorization and one is the actual charged amount. Before an order is charged, the amount is required to be authorized for payment.
Authorize & Capture
Some vendors will ‘authorize’ the order amount with your credit card bank before the order is prepared. This should let you know that the vendor is working to fulfill your order to ship out within the next 24-48 hours. The authorization will be held by the credit card issuer for about 5-7 business days from the charged date.
Once the order is ready to ship, the vendor will finalize the charge by ‘capturing’ the order amount ‘Capture' may overwrite the ‘Authorization’ and may show as a second charge depending on the credit card issuer. The transaction number should be the same for the authorization and capture.
If you are still seeing a double charge on your card after 7 business days from the date the order was charged, please reach out to our Customer Service and we will provide you with an order receipt from FASHIONGO.
Please note international cards may take longer than 7 business days for the authorization hold and the actual charged amount may differ based on the daily fluctuating conversation rate.
